Also, since I seem to be posting random stuff in this thread, here is an animated gif of the entire Ghostbusters movie (ok not the whole thing, but still pretty neat):

Don, that is exactly what I was thinking when I saw that. I was thinking "Go over and help them, you jerk!". I don't know if anyone was injured, but I suppose he felt he needed to keep "reporting". I also like how the graphic at the bottom of the screen changed to say "Breaking News: Car Accident 53rd and 119th" within a few seconds of the accident. Some guy back at the station must have been typing frantically when he saw it happen.

That is what I thought as well. We need to get some aging researchers looking at her.

Concurred. Perhaps Aubrey, John, Harvey or any others may be interested.

Oh, and here is a video of Canadian musician Erik Mongrain performing a composition of his using a new and unique method of playing the guitar called "lap-tapping." This blew me away...

Me neither, Nate! I may just get a guitar just to practice that technique alone. Here is another video of Japanese guitarist Kotaro Oshio, who's technique is not completely dissimilar, but different nonetheless.

Oh yeah, and on the forums on Mongrain's website (where I'm known as "Adam"), I have "The Immortality Institute" as a hyperlink to our homepage in my signature :) .

Do you not think they are transhumanist musicians? You should get to know them a little better, I see them as totally transhumanist, although I could be biased because I love funky robots and french house music. When they were fixing a sampler late one parisian night a number of years ago, it exploded - knocking the dedicated duo unconscious. When they awoke, they were robots, sealed in cybernetic gear. Their latest album, "Human After All" (which is not my favourite) is super-saturated in the human/robot synthesis they have longed for, obtained, and executed ever-so-wonderfully (if not at least very self-referential of their music, mythos, and meme). It's the feel-good story of the year! :) If you like anime at all, you should check out their first feature film, "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem". It's the "Discovery" album tuned up with animation and storyline created by Leiji Matsumoto. I happen think it's pretty lovely. That might turn you on to them more - What other music would a biopunk like? :)

edit: i heart spelling mistakes

Thanks Mit', my judgement of them is only on hearing TechnoLogic and Robot Rock, which isn't substantial I guess, heh. I do like animé too, very much. Alright, I'll give them a go :). And I too love electronic music very much.

There definitely needs to be more entertaining transhumanist-oriented videos online. Attractive/articulate immortalists, start making videos of you talking to yourself. :)
