Unarmed knife/edged weapon defence impossible? Most likely some of you guys know of the following google video, I found it somewhat interesting. Their ultimate advice is to run like hell if someone pulls out a sharp weapon such as a knife. Suprising that the police were so ineffective to target the mock attacker even at a good amount of range.

Internet Site Address:
http://video.google....2147853&q=knife
(Warning: contains graphic images of knife wounds....and also crappy songs [lol] )

Here is another google video, appears to be made by the same individuals. Keep in mind I do not know anyting about martial arts; Still I think probably one of the best martial arts out there is "Jeet Kune Doo". Saw long time ago an old video of Bruce Lee giving lessons to some guy and narrating the video I believe, speed(he was talking about footwork) is vital in successful defence and attack.

Internet Site Address:
http://video.google....ry martial arts

No posts in awhile on this thread, but this was pretty good:

It is of a dad tossing his son's 11 year old wrestling foe from ring. Crazy parents..

Oh, I know. When I started this thread way back in the day, I embedded all of them, but then the page would load so slow since it was essentially just a page full of videos, so I started just doing the links to the video.

The first one gave me an error message, but I really liked the other ones, especially the quantum one. Thanks.

Haha. In that first video, you could tell that the professor was BSing. If the FBI was involved and they had pictures of the guy, he wouldn't be messing around trying to scare him into bringing the laptop back.

I had seen that second video before, but it is hilarious:
I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce
Don't be frontin' son no seeds on a bun
We be up in this drive thru
Order for two
I gots a craving for a number nine like my shoe
We need some chicken up in here
In this dizzle
For rizzle my mizzle
Extra salt on the frizzle
Dr. Pepper my brother
Another for your mother
Double double super size
And don't forget the fries.

IBM held a symposium on efforts to simulate consciousess in computers. This is a very respectable group and a very respectable effort. Many key researchers in this arena made their presentations.

Go onto video.google and use the key word "Almaden". There are 12 seminars in total.

I'm sorry....did I just over hear someone say weird?

posted at the awesome informative Boing Boing.....This is an old Anti-Drug PSA from TVOntario, it somehow found its way to a Boston public library, where a couple of amateur film makers remixed and recut it into the most surreal thing I've ever seen."

I don't know if this would be quite so satisfying to someone who didn't grow up with TVOntario's shows, as I did. This runs a little long -- as does most surrealism -- but it has moments of pure stoner brilliance.

It's not particularly out of the ordinary until the daughter actually starts talking. It's so hilarious the way she talks, but a little bit scary at the same time.

Wow. I consider most of these day time talk shows as trash, but, just, wow. How can anyone live like this. I can't even begin to fathom the mindset of these types of people.

I quite agree. It was amusing to start with the way she talks, kind of a cross between a pimp and a robot. But looking back it's also kind of scary and it's not just an American problem, we see the same thing in Britain too. I do fear for some people.

The F**k'n Departed (the movie "The Departed" with only the the instances of the f-word)

I didn't realize they used the f-word so much, but it is still only 23rd overall on the official list of movies using the word most.
