I'm not sure how to read your statement - do you worry about IP6 & absorption? Ironically, very ironically, IP6 may even increase the absorption of anthocyanins. I'm not sure about other polyphenols or catechins, though. I think your late to the party with the IP6, but better than never.

Magnesium and lithium compete at receptor sites. Might want to take them apart. Also, isn't lactoferrin best absorbed before meals??

I have no idea. I will go ahead and take them apart. Thanks.

I am not too worried on max absorption with lactoferrin but I will try to look it up and make changes accordingly. Thanks again.

Side note: I am dropping curcumin. I wanted a ~50mg dosage.

Yeah.

I am not sure what to think of it. Instead, I have gone the route of keeping my postprandial blood glucose low. Like you are cutting back, I am trying to use supps that have good risk reward, have been widely used in one form or another for an extended period by a large group, and take them at doses similar to levels that can be achieved without modern supplements. A possible exception to this is my bet on the catechins. As for resveratrol, I am thinking the amount absorbed in the mouth of red wine lushes is larger than the intestinal absorption (If anyone knows of a study looking for this, please speak up). Also note, I am dropping the large curcumin dose for this very reason (although I may open up some capsules and place a small bit in a shake now and then).

In light of the article that niner posted about orotate safety concerns, perhaps you should consider switching to another form of lithium like lithium aspartate.

I actually do not recommend lithium aspartate. After closer reading, it appears that aspartate is an excitotoxin.

Wow. IP6 AND Lactoferrin? How's your ferritin levels? Are you losing some hair yet?

BTW, if you are taking both for cancer prevention, I think taking them along with Vit C is counterproductive.

Wow. IP6 AND Lactoferrin? How's your ferritin levels? Are you losing some hair yet?

Snarky, and probably wrong. It may come down to how iron saturated the lactoferrin is.

From Oral administration of lactoferrin increases hemoglobin and total serum iron in pregnant women,

In our study, 300 women at different trimesters of pregnancy were enrolled in a trial of oral administration of ferrous sulfate (520 mg once a day) or 30% iron-saturated bovine lactoferrin (bLf) (100 mg twice a day). Pregnant women refusing treatment represented the control group. In this group hemoglobin and total serum iron values measured after 30 d without treatment decreased significantly, especially in women at 18–31 weeks of pregnancy. In contrast, after 30 d of oral administration of bLf, hemoglobin and total serum iron values increased and to a greater extent than those observed in women treated orally for 30 d with ferrous sulfate, independently of the trimester of pregnancy. Unlike ferrous sulfate, bLf did not result in any side effects. These findings lead us to hypothesize that lactoferrin could influence iron homeostasis directly or through other proteins involved in iron transport out of the intestinal cells into the blood.

On the other hand, iron depleted lactoferrin (like that sold by LEF) kills Candida and blocks biofilm development of pathogens by chelating iron.

I couldn't easily find 1000mg capsules without the flavs from my preferred brands at iherb. Jarrows had this and it is better than straight C. I mainly updated via post so I could keep track of the change and not because it was a large or important change.

FTR, the one i replaced was the one with 25mg of flavie not the 100mg one.

Adding Tumeric Supreme by Gaia Herbs 1 capsule every other day

After thinking a bit about intermittent fasting, I am reducing the levels of some supplements that I had at what I considered ~2 day levels down to 1 day levels:

Reducing fish oil to 1.3 grams DPA+EPA every other day

Reducing Vitamin E dosage to 60mg every other day

Reducing Magnesium to 200mg each day

Reducing IP6 to 750mg every other day

Reducing Lactoferrin to 500mg every other day

Just wondering where you buy your supps? Those are extremely cheap prices compared to what I pay! I usually use Swanson, as it seems to be the cheapest reseller of brands like NOW and Jarrow.

Also, where are you getting Ortho-Core for 3 dollars a pill? Much cheaper than Relentless Improvement's price, where I get my Multi-Basics 3. Wine RX doesn't seem to have any resellers and the price is $10/mo from their website, though you've listed as $3. I would definitely appreciate any tips you might have.

The trick is that I only take them every other day. Note the 'Eat Days' category. The WineRX is listed as $5, half of the $10/mo that you note, since I take it only every other day. I usually buy from Iherb, vitacost, and amazon. With the bulk discounts I get they usually come out cheaper than the above. Some, such as Orthocore, have been a while since the price has been calculated due to using up old stock. I update when I buy. I hope that helps.

Oops missed that part. Hahah I guess a secret retailer that sells everything half off was too good to be true. I like iHerb for some products I can't find elsewhere, but Swanson seems to beat them usually on prices even when bulk discounts are taken into account (I usually keep an updated spreadsheet to track $/mg across retailers).
