I used regular driveway sealer. Didn’t give the effect I was looking for.

If you ever want to highlight your flowers by the driveway, seal your driveway with the sealer that they use on airport runways, much thicker and blacker.

I grew sunflowers and marigolds by my garage the first year.

Before I grew those I had to dig it out. Those were some heavy rocks, I had to use my feet to get them out, but I did it. Getting them in the wheel barrel was a trick also.

Does not look like I have a green thumb. You see that Ball Jar glass in the picture Sentinel. I still have that, it’s the glass I currently use for juicing and my morning water.

hah! That's the spirit you mad MF! Although I think you could do with a few horticultural pointers from the main man Mind! Got to say your arrangement is the very embodiment of your respect for the forces of nature coupled with your cavalier attitude to, and passion for life. Either that or you were just in a hurry. :)

Do they really smell as good as they look?

The whole bottom row is a Marigold called Queen Anne, being from London area thought you might appreciate that. The tall orange one is a Mexican Sunflower.

This is a rare sunflower, the name of which escapes me right now. It wasn’t very showy, but it was unique.

The purple flowers are morning glories. Notice the bright yellow Marigolds behind the Queen Anne Marigolds.

Gladiola, yellow and the one that’s perpendicular is a specialty gladiola. Purple Batchelor Buttons in the center.

That's some fine specimens, I may have to bounce back some pics of my own gardens. They are something of a contrast at the moment; the back garden is at the tail end of summer's bloom with all of the beds bursting, the front has a hired digger and a skip I've been levelling off the drive with this weekend. A bit more macro.

Levelling sucks. I had to do a lot of it when I built my walls.

Building a wall for the first time was not easy. I didn’t realize how much tech stuff one has to learn. Getting that first row is critical and very hard. All the leveling and getting the crushed rock just perfect for the block set.

I did this just for practice. A figure 8 wall with all the tight curves in and out. I tore it down as soon as I was satisfied that I could form a wall.
