Gene therapy points the way toward immortality. Immortalitiy is possible if investments are made in the right technology. Technology to dose the whole body with genetic therapy vectors. As the body ages, glucose reacts with proteins forming Advanced glycosylation end products AGEs. Glycosylation end products eventually crowd out normal proteins and the efficiency of cellular reactions decreases until cell death and apoptosis occur. The other big cause of aging is free radicals that that react
with proteins and DNA. Free radicals cause mutations in DNA leading to cancer and
nonfunctional cells. Free radicals also damage proteins.

Dear Guest.

This is correct, but you have not yet explained why you think that gene therapy might be helpful in countering these occurrences. Why not register and plead your case further? I would be very interested to hear you opinion on which genes you would like to target in HUMANS to prevent oxidative damage. I would also like to hear your thought on the recent debacles with gene therapy.

Otherwise a candidate for the catcher, me thinks.
