Thanks for all the help everyone. However, after about 3 weeks I am already back on caffeine. O well I think I will just try to limit my caffeine intake...

I think simply moderating your intake is the key. Over-consumption of caffeine leads to crashing on it. I guess moderate consumption does the same, but to a much lesser extent, where the crash feels negligible.

That's the best you got spooky? That I generically used veins to mean blood vessels? My point is still valid.

Not sure why you are using this man's thread to debate "science" vs. Chinese Medicine but . . . you say there is no scientific evidence behind TCM? Obviously, you are not a scientist. They know that isn't true, and that Western Medicine often has no valid science behind its methods. Giving antibiotics for a cold, for instance. Standard treatment for lung cancer was found to make the patients 2% more likely to die, according to a meta-analysis of all the data. You trying to out argue me is an example of bringing a knife to a gunfight.

No, that's not all I got :)
If you had read my posts you would have seen that I also added a link to a very reputable website containing studies that you surely already knew about ;)
I agree with you on the matter that "western medicine" often has no valid science behind its methods. The fact that physicians often do not use science as a bassis of their work is a problem that should be dealt with. Still thit does in no way make TCM valid. Stay critical and scientific!
Additionally I would not differentiate in terms of western vs. chinese medicine or the like but between drugs that either do or do not work. The assumed mode of action is 100% irrelevant when testing a drugs efficacy.
I think we should either leave it at that or continue this discussion in private as to not clutter this thread. And I will just ignore your "bringing a knife to a gunfight" metaphor as it is utterly useless and we are all trying to stay calm and professional aren't we? :)
