I have some sort of ongoing neuro auto immune issue that I think we are finally grasping. My peripheral nerves, if not too scfarred will get better, but I am worried about my brain and its mitochondria while I fight this illness.

PQQ , d-ribose and a bit of abatement in the symptoms noticably improved my cognitive symptoms, but the attacks are back with a vengence.

I would like to better protect my mitochondria and neurons while I fight this disease.

The problem is, my immune system cannot tolerate any sort of modulation at the moment. An innumerable number of anti inflammatory and antioxidants such as vitamin e exacerbated matters (I say probably because my symptoms fluctuate) .

So, I'm looking for mitochondrial and lipid antioxidants that don't modulate the immune system (vit e), lower my already low bp (coq10) or put me at risk for further ros (coq0)

Any ideas? The only one I can potentially think of is idebenone , but I'm not sure if it would work and if  is immuno neutral.

Thanks for the suggestion...I opted not to try C60 due to its supposed glutathione and stem cell depletion effects. Are these concerns still being considered?

C60 has a certain toxicity when in aqueous medium, but in oil it acts as an antioxidant and antitoxic. See: http://c60antiaging....fects-toxicity/

Have you considered/tried the uridine stack (uridine, DHA, choline and some other stuff)? Iirc it'll help with myelination.

Do you have MS? If this is an autoimmune issue, shouldn't you be after something that will modulate it down?
Let me preface by saying that none of this is medical advice... always consult a doctor.
Have you tried luteolin or dandelion root extract? Dandelion root is not too expensive. I would personally take this. You could also grind up fresh turmeric root and heat up in an oil to make your own inexpensive and potent fat soluble extract.

ALCAR will increase ROS, but not too much at lower doses. Worth trying. Use Lipoic acid too if you're afraid of the ROS.

Instead of battling the symptoms, you could also try a hormonal approach. This might be the root of your issues. When women become pregnant, progesterone levels increase to dampen the immune system so that her body does not reject the fetus. It has also been used for recovery from brain injury. Maybe try to get your hands on some cream. Be careful to get real stuff, not synthetic. Again, not medical advice ;)
