Just wondering if anybody has stubbled upon any effective treatment that may help with brain recovery post boxing matches. Ive noticed the military and the NFL has been dumbing money into trying to understand and treat TBIs. I assume any treatment that would minimize damage while enhancing recovery would be applicable.

In the study  below they mention depletion of Magnesium as well as NMDA antagonists may be of benefit in treating acute head injury.

Acutely, post-match, I would be looking at anything anti-inflammatory, plus nutrients which help stroke victims.  I believe that alpha-lipoic acid, given immediately after a stroke, minimises damage quite effectively.  (Please look that up though, to be sure my recall is correct.)

Ongoing, I suggest that Lithium is a great inclusion - in micro doses, that is, no more than 5mg/day.  This seems to be a potent brain tissue re-builder.

Also make sure that you include plenty of precursor nutrients from which brains are built, like EPA and DHA (fish oil), and Choline (lecithin).

Then never, ever fight again.  It is simply not worth sacrificing your fundamental neurological functioning for the entire second half of your life, for a few hours of fun in the first half.  It will be a source of profound regret and sorrow.

I´ve read a bit into this topic and its complicated.

Example: You have to inhibit interleukin-1b in the first 48 hours, but activate it after 48 hours and so on.

And this counts not only for one target but for a few e.g. IL-6.

Take a look in this Study. Its extensive and very interresting

Understanding the neuroinflammatory response following concussion to develop treatment strategies

http://www.ncbi.nlm....52/#!po=38.6364

Afaik, Fishoil is good for pretreatment and Tumeric/Curcumin is good for pre- and post concussion.

This one is also informative and extensive:

But I´ve read somewhere ( I guess reddit/science) that Football player dont have that much concussion syptoms than thought.

Unfortunaetly I cant find it. Look for Your self if You want perhaps I´m just mistaken.
