I was thinking about getting some of these from Amazon to put on me and my wife’s cell phone and our kids iPads but then I read a few articles that they don’t work. Any input? Thanks

Looks like a scam to me. An effective EMF shield would need to cover a much larger area, for one thing.
You might consider getting a large piece of conductive fabric or fine-scale copper mesh, and place it between the device and your body when you're using it. If you have sewing skills, the fabric could easily be made into a carrying case or something similar.

If those worked, your phone wouldn't.
It's a scam.
