what’s the safety profile of compounding pharmacies?

Worried about this for my dad’s meds. Anyone know anything?

No one can provide a general answer to that question.  It would  of course depend on the specific compounding pharmacy.

 

However, I can tell you that compounding pharmacies do undergo periodic FDA inspection.  How frequently that is I do not know.  Several years between inspections would be my guess.
