These may be dumb questions, but......

How much magnesium l-threonate should you take when you are making up the capsules yourself?
2.
Does all magnesium l-threonate have magtein in it?
3.
Can someone explain to me how a mag supp can be 144mg but contain 2g magtein?

1. However much it is, it would be the same as if you bought it already capped. If you want 400mg of elemental magnesium, then you'd need 400*(2/144) = 5.56 grams of mag threonate. I don't know what people are actually using for this compound.
2. magtein is a trade name for a particular brand of mag threonate, so no, it wouldn't all have to be that.
3. There are a bunch of different forms of magnesium, in which it's combined with various other atoms. In mag threonate, for every .144 grams of magnesium in the molecule, there are 1.856 grams of other atoms.
