Yeah, I saw this a while ago. I wouldn't want to be a savant, most come with some kind of mental defunction (usually social defunct) as compensation for the massive increase in certain abilities like photographic recall.

Must be some massive change in neurotransmitters and receptors, probably is it some kind of receptor destruction that disinhibits these abilities, now the question is how do we acquire savant syndrome without causing brain damage to ourselves since concussions are always heads or tails.
