"Darwin's attempt to deny God's existence was not new. His ideas actually came from early, pagan, Greek philosophers." and "...all those scientists, so proud of," blah blah blah, "ought to trace it back to its rather embarrassing roots, and you'll see how ridiculous it gets."

Wow. Did she really just say that? I'm assuming these "pagan, philosophers," are none other than Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

It's almost certain that there's some uneducated person out there who will likely ascribe some backward, and evil connotation to her particular choice of words and will very well link what she said, to them - the most well known "pagan, Greek, philosophers".

well that Socrates, he was a trouble maker! He corrupted the youth you know! And he didn't believe in the Gods! AND he talked about demi-Gods and sprites and stuff! Surely he deserves to be put to death for his heresies.

What disturbes me more than anything, is the fact that they present it as if the Bible supports Science....

yet if we look back at history... *wavy picture motion as we go back in time*.... Didn't followers of the Bible try to burn Galileo? And this bloody movie tries to present 'SCIENCE' as galileos opponent, and the Bible as supporting him. What a Joke....

Then they take some indecipherable out of context quote which is supposed to be 'scientifici evidence' for 'mountains on the ocean floor'. Yeah good on ya... It was a throw away comment it could mean anything...

And apparently 'the circle of the earth' is meant to mean that the earth is round.

What this movie really says, is that You name your scientific theory, and the Bible will support it. ... Oh, except evolution. but any other theory, past, present and future, the Bible will support it (either clearly or through semi-relevent semi literal quotes).

Also, I am curious about the evidence which is proving Darwin wrong that is incresing every day. being a molecular biologist, my experience is that more evidence supports it everyday... Of course, I don't read the Bible every day, so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place for my [airquote]Evidence[/airquote].

God this stuff pisses me off.

Worse than that, he declared bankrupcy shortly after it. It means he wasted it all!

Daa!
Yea, you spent your laughs on the first two that's why.
I thought the same though that's why I didn't include it initially. I added it for a blend with zoolander's video.

This one is doing well in the philosophy forum. We could hypothesise on the cause of his explosive bowel movements. Could it have been emodin from a bad lot of cheep bulk resveratrol? [lol]

Bill Maher again.

Not funny in general. It's funny (and enjoyable) watching the woman in this clip try to fight her way out of the hole she dug.
