was thinking, what makes you talkative in social situations ?

i realized there are two of the most popular compounds that makes someone more social, talkative.
alcohol is one, and most popular. other has to be stimulant and its caffeine or any other prescribed stimulant.

was wondering, what do you guys take besides those 2 popular one that encourage you to talk more in social settings ??

I'd be interested in knowing this as an alternative to alcohol, or something to take along side alcohol to enhance sociability.

Oxytocin.

I don't know of any research indicating that oxytocin would cause anyone to be more talkative.

Also, oxytocin is only effective in mg doses sprayed directly into the nose, or injected. Oxytocin applied to skin would do nothing, because it wouldn't be absorbed, and is too massive a molecule to become airborne. So it would just stay on the skin, uselessly.

Phenibut works but it gets addictive and you may get bad withdrawals. Couple times a month it's safe even in the long run.

I'm trying stacking something like theanine, gotu kola and rhodiola for safer boost.

methylcobalamin. it may not make me more talkative per se, but I'm more relaxed, thoughts flow more easily, so it's easier to talk with people. also, anxiety vanishes which is very helpful with speaking in public. :)

I have been antisocial/stuck in my own thoughts for most of my life.Always trying new stuff but recently over the last 6 days since ive been on ths regimen i have been very talkative and confident and curious about others instead of feeling like trapped in my own negative thought loop. I started a daily smoothie of about 3/4 lb. blueberries and 2 cups of freshly brewed white tea mixed in as well as 500mg of Glisodin per day and ZMA before bed.Im not sure if 1 or all of these substances is responsible but afraid to eliminate any of them.I tried the blueberry/tea mixture for stem cell production also my pain levels are wayy down also!I was going to add Spirulina for added stem cell nerve inflammation reasons and still might.Maybe someone wants to try my regimen and report?

You need two things:
1. Something to talk ABOUT. Something at naturally makes you excited and you find interesting and could BRAG ABOUT/discuss with others.
2. Stimulants to enhance that experience and feeling (optional): anything interacting with dopamine or contributing MAO-inhibition.

If you have nothing to say, no substance will change that. Then you'll just blurt out awkward uninteresting self-talk. (like a drunk)

chung_pao i guess a person will need something to make him excited about various topics so he can have something to discuss with people. so its not really a need for a substance that will make you talkative as much as substance that will make you interested in various things in life so you can have something to talk about.

it's not about the substance, it's about the topic and people. For example, I'm a strong introvert and I used to go to lunch with several people and just sit there and say nothing for a whole hour (and people were asking me if anything's wrong with me). And I was sad and depressed - I didn't know what was wrong with me - why can't I talk like "normal people" do. Well, after a while I found out that with some people I can talk for hours and hours. So, the problem isn't me, but people who I find boring (they may not be boring to other people, but I certainly don't have a lot of topics to talk about with them). The conclusion is: maybe you can't fix yourself, because the problem isn't in you.

yeah using the internet too much will kill us all, lol! i tried pramiracetam, and it worked okay for social lubing, but nefiracetam works better. nothing works better than alcohol, except for maybe ghb. kratom is also lovely for getting the lips moving.

Phenylpiracetam and Piracetam help a great deal with social anxiety. Take this from the shyest person on earth. If that is even a word. I'm not as shy anymore but combined with forcing myself to be social and these two substances it has helped a great deal.

So true about using the Internet and isolating too much. I feel bad for people that don't have a meeting to go to or a place to make new friends. I'm grateful i'm an addict because I don't know how else I could go out and socialize. While it is possible it is much more difficult.

Honestly, what really helped me was Hydergine. I'm not quite sure if I had diminished blood flow prior, and that was part of the issue, but I find things are just a little more clear on it. I take about 5 mg per day, with a B complex (like Hippocampus mentioned, methylcobalamin is important: a deficiency can create alzheimer's-like symptoms; an all-encompassing B-complex can really help with mood elevation as well). Not only does it diminish my ADHD symptoms extensively, but I find that i'm a lot more articulate as well. I take that about five days a week, and cycle it with 5 mg of Selegiline. I find that if I take Selegiline too regularly, even though it's an incredibly lifeline for anyone struggling with motivation/follow-through/ADHD; a buildup can result and start becoming .. slightly on autopilot, for lack of better words.

The only two caveats: One, I have a low sensitivity threshold, so what works for me, may not effect someone else. Two, Hydergine is expensive. So, if anyone who sees this knows of a cheaper alternative than Nubrain's 50.00 package .. let me know.
