So, Kamal Patel, MBA, MPH, PhD© wasted everyone's time by posting irrelevant studies.

At least we now know do to Kamal it doesn't raise T when you play ping pong or run for a couple of miles.

But we don't know if it raises T when you lift weights.

But it's more reliable than anecdotal evidence.

You don’t have to lose muscle during a cut. Keep protein at 1g/lb body weight and get enough health fats to keep hormones up to par and you can shed fat while preserving muscle easily.

Eventually you will lose muscle, maybe not much, but you lose it.

Never been a fan of bulking and cutting. Done it once and won't be doing it again.

I can only say what I have felt when I took creatine and lifted weights. When you take more weight with higher explosive reps, you could feel that fire burning again like when you where 16.

This could all be because of the higher ATP levels. But eventually we can only figure it out when they finally test it.

After using a large amount of supps pre and post workout I'm having a bit of a break from most of them due to losing 'big-itis' and having more important things to focus on.

I'm also doing a needed cut, so you always lose muscle which can be built later. I add creatine pre and post for no other reason than it is there, I make no claims on the value of doing so.

There is a good NCBI paper on COQ10 and shilajit together. I use the normal COQ10 twice daily and PPQ on occasions as a boost. At 50 I just need a top up of COQ10, but certainly when I get older I will look at ubiquinol.

It could be one or the other, or both, or even unrelated, to the extra follicles seen. Other forums have random improvement from COQ10, but nothing consistent.

NMN is all over here under NAD+, it is a precursor that drops as you get older and if replaced the body continues to make previous NAD+ levels. There are differing views on how to take it, I have said my bit and have nothing else to offer.

Where do you get your shilajit? Since there are a lot off fake shilajit supplements, so i've read.

Tigernuts raises T levels (it's in dutch, but the test part is in english):

I'd also consider the role of creatine in methylation. https://chrismasterj...do-about-mthfr/

Tigernuts look pretty cool, but it seems hard to get enough of them practically - I wish there was an extract for them or something. Still looking for a decent extract for mordina as well that's not too expensive, seems hard to find tho.

I still think any herbs or Supplement is not going to have a major impact on increasing testosterone. The first thing you should do is get your actual levels checked and not just total testosterone but free testosterone as that’s a much more important indicator. Then from there you can assess whether or not to use supplements or to use actual testosterone replacement therapy. If your testosterone levels are maybe 25% or less lower than you would prefer then maybe supplements would help you but if your levels are much lower than normal then supplements and herbs are not going to have that big of an impact so you may want to look more into testosterone replacement therapy.

I see a decent # of people mention needing exogenous test to see any tangible effects, but would boosting free test 20% - 30% really not create any noticeable effects? seems like it would be a decent shift

the Proclactin lowering high dose Vit E study actually showed a 15% decrease in free test, but placebo lowered too https://www.research...in_Hemodialysis

High dose Boron is something that has a big effect on raising hormones

https://tahomaclinic...ausal women.pdf

^ In post-menopausal women on 3mg boron their Estradiol nearly doubled and their Testosterone more than doubled, in the low magnesium intake group

https://www.research...tion_in_humans

^ This one in men at 4 weeks 10mg significantly rasied both estradiol and testosterone, with a higher E:T ratio

a 2.5mg study in men didn't raise hormones much more than control

increases magnesium / calcium retention (looks good for bone mineralisation, maybe increasing mag & vit D status

https://www.research...y_cytokines#pf5

^ Short term study shows Boron works acutely.

1st day test stayed same and free test was increased 25% by 6 hrs, where placebo decreased from morning levels. inflammatory markers down a lot.

by day 7 total test the same.  mean free test up 30%.  DHT up a bit,  cortisol up 25%,  vit D status up a bit,  inflam markers down a lot (boron looks like a really potent anti-inflammatory that works acutely by 6 hours, 3 markers were reduced a lot). slight reduction in SHBG.  mean estradiol down 40%.

Mean free test:estradiol ratio by 7 days went from 0.31 to 0.67

Now this seems to indicate high dose Boron in the short term boosts free test a lot into day 7 while reducing estradiol a lot. But longer usage raises test with estradiol elevating too.

I wonder if cycling 4 days on 3 days off would sustain the 25% free test & lowered estradiol effects of this study, without the returning surge in estradiol shown in the longer studies?
