How has this worked out for you? I have Bipolar 2, atleast thats what the docs tell me. I've tried the meds and have had horrible reactions to them all (I swore Welbutrin was killing me from the head down). I've been keeping control of my symptoms through diet and supplaments for the past 3 years now. It's a full time battle, but I've gotten to know myself more because of it. I recently came across nootropics last year and decided to try out different kinds to see if it helps.

Do you have bipolar I or II? What meds are you currently taking for the bipolar?

It's hard to give suggestions without knowing other meds you're on that might cause some sort of reaction. Multi-substance supplementation (all nootropics and supplements) nearly threw me over the edge into full-blown mania. I've not gone to a psych for full evaluation but I sure exhibit symptoms of Bipolar II. With existing issues I'd suggest proceeding very cautiously with anything that changes neurotransmitter levels and regulation.

Most of the stuff in those soft-gels will increase acetyl-choline levels, and the Alpha-GPC goes straight into the brain through the blood brain barrier without needing to be metabolized. If you've got bipolar 1 I'd steer clear of things that mess with acetyl-choline levels, but that's just my opinion (saw a friend with bipolar 1 slip quickly into delusions of grandeur and have a psychotic break just from caffeine and nicotine).

But if you're set on trying this stuff I'd recommend starting with just one soft-gel and staying at that dosage for a week or two. Then, if you don't notice any negative side effects or signs of instability, slowly raise the dose over the course of a couple weeks if need be.
